Quick Overview

Reputed to be the first Tea Rose. Blooms sometimes solitary, sometimes in small clusters. Globular, reflexed blooms that really smell like tea. Popular throughout the nineteenth century, this rose helped to establish the new class of Tea Roses. The buds are pretty but they have a tendency to mildew in wet weather. It will survive in cooler climates, being stronger than most of its kin. Possibly 'Hume's Blush' x 'Rose Edouard'. Raised by a Monsieur Adam in his garden in Rheims, France.
